Meaning :
O ! Lord , today I might have committed many mistakes through my hands , legs,ears or thoughts.For whtaever mistakes I have committed, by my action or inaction, O Auspicious one ,Ocean of Compassion, please forgive me.

Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu

The teacher is like Lord Brahma ,he generates knowledge within us, like Lord Vishnu ,he drives ideas and knowledge, like Lord Shiva , destroys the ill conceived ideas, while enlighting us and helping us stay on the right path.

Sarva Mangala Mangalye,
Shive Sarvvaartha Saadhike.
Sharanye Tryamba Ke Gauri,
Naarayani Namosthuthe.

Adoration to Godess,
Who is the auspiciousness of all that is auspicious,
Who is the consort of Lord Shiva,
Who is the bestower of every desire of one's heart.
Adoration to you !
O Devi , i have taken refuge in you.

PRAYER FOR PEACE

Om Asato ma sad gamaya
Tamaso ma jyothir gamaya
Mrithyo ma amritham gamaya
Om shanthi shanthi shanthihi

Meaning :
Lead us from untruth to Truth,
From Darkness to Light,
From Death to Immortality,
Om Peace peace peace.

PRAYER FOR WISDOM

Om Bhur Bhivah svahah
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dheeyo Yonah Prachodayaat

Meaning :
We meditate on the glory of the Creator,
Who has created the Univers,
Who is worthy of worship,
Who is embodiment of knowledge and light,
Who is the remover of all Sin and Ignorance,
May he enlighten our Intellect.

KERALA TEMPLES - Mridanga Saileswari Temple

Mridanga Saileswari Temple : Muzhakkunnu Mrithanga Shileshwari Kshetram has a powerful pancha loha idol inside. This is said to be one of the most famous Devi (DURGA) temples in Kerala. Origin of the lady form of KADHAKALI is from Muzhakkunnu temple by Kottayam rajavu. He is the father of kadhakali and wrote the famous vandana sloka “mathanganana mabjavasaram”about this devi.
